Wedding Day Itinerary (with chinese custom & tradition)

Bride

0500 Sibling Feast

0530 Hair & Bridal Makeup

0645 Photographer/ Videographer arrival

0700 Bridesmaid/ Chi Mui's arrival

0720 Bride's Veil custom by parents/elder in the family

0730 Clashes of both sexes - time to play the guys!!



Groom to bring:
~ tea set for tea ceremony
~ gowns/kwa for changing
~ shoes/jewellery
~ make up

Fetching bride's custom:
(i) Bride's younger Brother (BYB) give 2 oranges to groom
(ii) BYB to open car door for groom
(iii) Groom to give ang pau to BYB after opening car door
(iv) Torturing time for groom and heng tais
(v) Bride's family to serve morning tea and sweet soup
(vi) Lifting of veil & exchange of wedding ring
(vii) Pray to the bride's ancestors and family gods before leaving
(viii) Tea Ceremony of Bride's family

0800 Leave for Groom's home
- Dad/ good fortune woman to shelter bride with red umbrella while she is under the open sky : protected from evil influence
- Dad/ good fortune women will throw rice and dried magnolia petals at bridal car before they drives off
- Dad to splash water behind bridal car : blessing to the bride on everlasting marriage (only applies to teochew family)

0830 Arrive at Groom's home

0845 Serve snacks and sweet soup

0915 Outdoor photo session and house warming

1030 Tea Ceremony and Roast pig delivery.
Roast pig in chinese legendary is a sign of virginity.

1100 Bride's younger brother arrival for bride's home visit

1115 Lunch

1130 Bride preparing for home visit and groom to remove veil for bride

1145 Bride leave for home visit along with roast pig/peanut candies or rice candies

1215 Lunch at bride's side

1330 Return to groom's home/ church/check in hotel
~ Groom to bring back head and tail of roast pig and other return gifts. Return gifts to be wrapped in plastic and placed between the head and tail of the roast pig. Then wrap a red paper around it.
~ Pack for wedding banquet (bring along all necessary items; gowns, accessories, wedding favors, stationaries and etc

1400 church wedding / rest & relax

1630 Preparing for Wedding banquet

1800 Final briefing with wedding planner and wedding party

1900 Relax and smile as your Wedding commences
